Plattsburgh Firefighters Contain Apartment Fire on Pike Street; Residents and Pets Safely Evacuated

On April 20th , 2025 at 6:08 am the Plattsburgh Fire Department was dispatched by the Clinton County Office of Emergency Services 911 center to a report of a structure fire at 43 Pike St. The First City Fire Department Engine arrived at 6:11 am and reported fire venting from a third story window of a large 5 unit apartment building. As firefighters with help from the Plattsburgh Police Department were evacuating residents, City Firefighters stretched a hose line to the third floor and were able to make an aggressive interior attack on the fire.

NOTICE OF INTENT TO REQUEST RELEASE OF FUNDS (NOIRROF)

On or about August 12, 2024 the City of Plattsburgh will submit a request to the Office of Community Renewal for the release of CDBG funds under Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, to undertake a project known as the City of Plattsburgh Drinking Water System Upgrades Project. The proposed project involves the replacement of up to 5,000 linear feet of existing water main along Rand Hill Road and NYS Route 374.

The Bike Guys Find New Location at 39 Oak Street

The City of Plattsburgh proudly announces that it has been awarded Bronze Certification by the New York State Climate Smart Community (CSC) program; a landmark achievement. This status was gained on October 2, 2023 with an official announcement by Governor Kathy Hochul.
